| Helicopter Crashes Into Diesel Tanker In Norway |

OSLO, Norway. A helicopter crashed into a tanker truck loaded with diesel fuel on Monday, and, in a narrow escape, all three people aboard the aircraft survived, police said. The small helicopter slammed upside down into the cab of the truck and just missed its tank, which was carrying 7,000 liters (1,850 gallons) of flammable diesel fuel, said the district police's operations leader, Rune Arneberg. There was no one inside the truck, which was parked at a construction site. "It's pretty incredible," Arneberg said by telephone from the southeastern Norwegian town of Sarpsborg. He said there had been no fire and no leak from the fuel tank. Arneberg said all three men aboard climbed out of the wreckage on their own. One of them then lost consciousness and was flown to Ullevaal Hospital in Oslo for examination, although his condition was not immediately known, Arneberg said. He said the pilot suffered minor injuries and that the third person aboard was unhurt. The four-seater helicopter, a Robinson R44, had been sent up to film the construction site. Arneberg said the cause of the crash remained to be determined. |
